On Tuesday, August 4, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The Onicha-Ugbo, Delta state-born is happily married to a scholar Dr.
Miriam Kene Kachikwu (nee Omalu). She’s had great career experiences for
the past two decades with both Nigerian and International Companies.
This in turn has made her to be a part of several high value strategic
matters including joint operating agreements, production sharing
contracts, joint venture agreements, renewable energy projects,
electricity and gas marketing in the UK, global procurement,
multi-billion dollar multi-jurisdictional corporate restructuring
projects, to mention just a few.
Dr. Miriam Kene Kachikwu has always been a first class student. From
being a first class graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of
Nigeria, Nsukka to graduating with a B.L First Class Honours in 1993
Nigerian Law School, it is glaring that the beautiful woman is a
combination of beauty and brains. She obtained a Ph.D in International
Investment and Natural Resources Law and Policy and has published, from a
multi-disciplinary perspective, numerous papers in reputable
international journals.
Dr. Miriam co-founded and she is the immediate past Chairperson of
the Shell African Network. The blissful woman who is passionate about
human development was recently appreciated by the Ghanian government for
her innovative leadership. She has a natural ability to bring people
together, developing good & trusting relationships with people at
all levels.
