Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says the Federal Government will ensure
that business environment in the country is transparent and fair.
According to him, it is important that government creates a level
playing field and that no business process should seem disadvantaged to
one or the other.
The vice-president reiterated the Federal
Government’s resolve to provide conducive investment environment for
both local and international investors.
“The rules of the game
should be fair and should not be that one is cheated or disadvantaged,
but that everyone gets a fair chance,’’ he added.
The President of
Lafarge Holcim in Africa, Mr Peter Hoddinott, said his company had
invested heavily in the cement industry in Nigeria and subsequently
creating job opportunities for thousands of unemployed youths in the
country.
He said that the company would continue to partner with
the Federal Government in addressing the nation’s housing deficit of
about 17 million.
He assured that the company would continue to
meet its corporate responsibility by way of meeting the infrastructure
needs of communities where the company’s facilities and installations
